ABET COMMUNICATION LEVEL 1 COMMUNICATION UP TO NATIONAL EQUIVALENCY OF GRADE 3

Begin to learn to write, copy letters from the alphabet, write a few words or sentences, read & understand words that are used often, guess words that are appropriate to a certain situation, speak in situations which are familiar, e.g. greetings, directions, asking simple questions, listening & understanding easy words & sentences.

Numeracy patterns, rounding off, estimations, addition & subtraction, sharing & grouping, basic functions, numbers 0 ‐ 1000, time, shapes, reading a bar graph.

Write for different reasons, give facts & some details, spelling, ensure punctuation & grammar is used correctly, plan writing activities, read longer pieces of writing, understanding the differences between facts & opinions, understanding different styles of writing, speak with more confidence, using intonation.
